Our dedicated R&D center in Malmö, Sweden, plays a crucial role in continuously improving our technology portfolio and providing technical support to our project teams. With specialized laboratory and pilot facilities, our Malmö team collaborates closely with operating plants to troubleshoot and resolve process-related challenges, as well as support project development teams by supplying essential technical data and insights.
As we embark on a significant expansion of our pyrolysis pilot facilities, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory/Research Engineer to take a leading role in establishing and operating world-class pyrolysis pilot facilities. The Research engineer will report to VP R&D and become part of an innovative and competence driven environment in the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup, commissioning, and operation of pyrolysis pilot facilities.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to optimize pyrolysis processes and improve technology performance.
- Analyze and interpret process data to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and rectifying process-related issues in collaboration with operating plants.
- Assist in developing methodologies for testing, sampling, and characterizing feedstock and products.
- Work closely with project development teams to generate technical insights supporting design and financial decisions.
- Document findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations within the laboratory and pilot facilities.
Key Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Material Science, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory or pilot plant operations, preferably in pyrolysis, chemical processing, or waste recycling.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with pyrolysis processes, thermochemical conversion, or plastic waste recycling is an advantage.
- Experience with process safety and compliance standards is a plus.

- Fluent in Swedish/Scandinavian and English, both verbally and written
