Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for aTelecom/Senior Engineer oil and gas.

We are looking for an experienced Telecom Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large offshore greenfield / brownfield project within the telecom discipline.

The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her technical skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.

Job responsibilities:

• Define and development of Telecom philosophy, and design solutions for Telecom sub systems including remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies

• Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.

• Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client

• Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers

• Participate and contribute to relevant test activities

• Define engineering documents.

• Site support to fabrication yard.

Your experience and qualifications:

• Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.

• Ex course (max 5 years old)

• FSE course

• Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.

• Minimum 6 years' experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.

• Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.

• Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English.

• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment.

• A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.

• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements

• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.

• Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.

• Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
